Backend Engineer, Solana
Job Description
Veda builds vault infrastructure for DeFi at scale, managing billions of dollars in TVL across 15+ chains for partners including Kraken, EtherFi, MetaMask, and Plasma. This role focuses on building secure DeFi products across both on-chain Solana programs and the backend systems that support them.
The engineer will own features end-to-end, from on-chain program design through backend APIs and data pipelines, with a strong emphasis on security and financial correctness.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain Solana programs and backend services
- Own features end-to-end from design through production
- Integrate third-party DeFi protocols while evaluating risk
- Build reliable APIs, data pipelines, and SDKs
- Design for security and financial correctness
- Write automated tests and participate in audits
What we are looking for
- Strong Rust experience in security-critical systems
- Deep knowledge of Solana/SVM
- Production experience building APIs and distributed services
- Strong DeFi fundamentals
- Security-first mindset
