Software Engineer, Trading Product
Job Description
This position is focused on building experimental trading products on Aptos from the ground up, with an emphasis on fast iteration and learning from real usage rather than long planning cycles. Responsibilities include designing scalable APIs and data pipelines for trading data, building supporting infrastructure, and shipping production-ready code as part of a small, autonomous team.
Aptos wants a self-starter with 3+ years shipping products, strong experience in TypeScript or a similar language, and comfort working independently in a fast-moving environment. Background in payments, DeFi, or traditional finance is a plus but not required.
Responsibilities
- Design scalable APIs and data pipelines for trading data
- Build supporting infrastructure for experimental trading products
- Ship production-ready code as part of a small, autonomous team
- Iterate quickly based on real usage data
What we are looking for
- 3+ years shipping products
- Strong experience in TypeScript or a similar language
- Comfort working independently in a fast-moving environment
- Payments, DeFi, or traditional finance background a plus
Additional Information
Based in San Francisco with option to sit in Palo Alto or New York; small autonomous product team.
