Information Security Engineer, Product
Job Description
Aptos Labs is hiring a product security engineer to protect its core blockchain infrastructure and related products. The role centers on identifying and mitigating emerging threats through design reviews, code audits, and penetration testing, while also building internal security tooling and hardening frameworks tailored to blockchain-specific risks.
Day to day, the engineer will develop mitigations for recurring and novel vulnerability classes, set secure operational practices for other engineers, and triage findings from Aptos's bug bounty program. Candidates need a CS background plus 3+ years in vulnerability research, hands-on experience with native languages like Rust or C, and familiarity with automated security tooling.
Responsibilities
- Conduct design reviews, code audits, and penetration testing across Aptos infrastructure
- Develop mitigations for recurring and novel vulnerability classes
- Build internal security tooling and hardening frameworks
- Triage findings from the Aptos bug bounty program
What we are looking for
- CS background plus 3+ years in vulnerability research
- Hands-on experience with native languages like Rust or C
- Familiarity with fuzzers and static analyzers
- VM security experience (MoveVM, EVM, WASM) a strong plus
