Backend Software Engineer

As an engineer focused on backend systems at Alchemy, you'll work with one of the most sophisticated and high-throughput distributed systems in the blockchain world, architecting and building new systems as well as improving existing ones for a platform that supports millions of users globally.

• Design, build, and maintain backend infrastructure, APIs, and services at scale
• Own the architecture and implementation of distributed systems behind high-volume, low-latency APIs
• Solve hard scalability, latency, and performance problems in live production systems
• Lead system design discussions and set best practices for backend development
• Trace and fix production issues across the full stack

• 5+ years relevant industry experience; BS/BA in Computer Science or equivalent
• Production experience with Java and Rust
• Experience in cloud-native environments (AWS), managed Kubernetes (EKS) a plus
• Experience building highly available, scalable distributed systems; Web3 experience a plus
