Senior Software Engineer

Overclock Labs builds Akash Network, a decentralized cloud-compute marketplace positioned as an open alternative to AWS/GCP/Azure, increasingly focused on AI/ML workloads. This role is core engineering work on the Akash chain and provider software (in Go).

• Build and maintain core features in Go across the Akash node and provider daemon
• Design, test, and ship network upgrades (testnet through mainnet)
• Diagnose/resolve provider-side issues in Kubernetes across an independently operated provider fleet
• Maintain gRPC/protobuf API definitions shared by node and provider
• Write feature specs and technical documentation

• Strong current production Go experience
• Hands-on Kubernetes experience (networking, cluster debugging)
• Distributed systems/design expertise
• Security fundamentals (cryptography, key management, IAM)
• Experience with backend APIs and test-driven development

Fully remote role with a preference for candidates based in or near Austin, TX; compensation includes stock options.
