Staff Backend Engineer, Aave App
Job Description
Aave Labs is hiring a Staff Backend Engineer to build the backend infrastructure behind the Aave App, a consumer savings app for onchain financial products, owning account and wallet services, transaction orchestration, blockchain indexing, and consumer-facing APIs.
Responsibilities
- Own account/wallet services, transaction orchestration, and blockchain indexing for the Aave App
- Build balances/yield data pipelines and funding/withdrawal flows
- Design and ship consumer-facing APIs
- Partner cross-functionally on production system ownership at scale
What we are looking for
- 6+ years backend engineering with ownership of complex production systems
- Strong Rust preferred (or Go, C++, Java)
- Distributed/event-driven systems experience
- API/GraphQL and PostgreSQL expertise
- Blockchain systems experience (transaction signing, key management, wallet infra) highly desirable
