Senior Fullstack Engineer (Backend Focus) Headline
Job Description
Rugs.fun, a multiplayer trading game on Solana, is hiring a backend-heavy fullstack engineer to help scale the platform to millions of players. The role covers end-to-end product delivery across backend and frontend, with emphasis on high-scale real-time systems and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Build and operate high-scale, real-time multiplayer systems (Kafka, Redis, WebSockets)
- Deliver fullstack features end-to-end across backend and React frontend
- Design reliable systems with idempotency, retries, consistency guarantees and background jobs
- Implement and optimize complex, dynamic animations
- Write unit, integration and end-to-end tests
What we are looking for
- 5+ years fullstack experience with production backend and frontend work
- Strong React and JavaScript/TypeScript skills including state management
- Strong SQL fundamentals: optimization, indexing, transactions, schema design
- Experience with distributed systems and message queues (Kafka, BullMQ, RabbitMQ)
- Strong grasp of HTTP, SSL/TLS, CI/CD, Docker, Linux and observability
- Security best practices for finance/web3; effective with and without AI-assisted coding
Additional Information
