Job Description
Tether is seeking a Sanctions Financial Crime Junior Analyst to join its compliance team. In this role, you will support the team responsible for identifying and mitigating sanctions risks across Tether's global operations, working with blockchain analytics tools to detect suspicious transactions and ensure compliance with international sanctions regimes.
Responsibilities
- Assist in screening transactions and counterparties against international sanctions lists
- Investigate alerts generated by blockchain analytics platforms such as Chainalysis or Elliptic
- Support the preparation of regulatory reports and filings related to sanctions compliance
- Collaborate with the legal and compliance team to improve sanctions screening procedures
- Monitor regulatory developments affecting Tether operations in relevant jurisdictions
- Document findings and escalate issues to senior compliance officers
What we are looking for
- Understanding of international sanctions regimes (OFAC, EU, UN)
- Familiarity with blockchain technology and cryptocurrency transactions
- Experience with KYC/AML compliance processes
- Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
